Zafer is the President of the International Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies Society CBPis. He has living, studying and/or working experience in Cyprus, Greece (Athens), Germany (Nuremberg), Netherlands (Amsterdam), Switzerland (Zurich) and the United Kingdom (Central London).

In addition to the other universities and  degrees, he gained academic degrees from Glasgow Caledonian University (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and King’s College London (Systemic Family Therapy).

He was  awarded in July 2014 for his Outstanding Contribution to European Counselling Psychology by the European Association of Counselling Psychology.
